Abortion and Sex-Ed programs are Worst Option
Recent studies show that abortion harms women, abstinence far more successful in the classroom.

Martinsburg, WV – “The thought of the word “abortion” should be unthinkable.” These words were spoken recently by Alveda King at a locally organized pro-life event at Rocky Mount High-School. I wish more people had this mind-set when it came to the murder of innocent children.
Ms. King, relative of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. became a staunch pro-life supporter after her own abortion experiences before accepting Christ in 1983. At the community event she said,
“This country was founded upon the respect for personal freedom; nobody should go against his or her conscious or moral values in order to keep their job. This is what abortion will do.” (Click here for origin)
Ms. King is referencing an open letter written to President Obama regarding his proposed health-care reform in which abortion on demand will be included at tax-payer’s expense; and doctors and nurses will risk losing their jobs for refusing to perform abortions on religious grounds.
Amazingly it would seem that all that is needed to reduce abortion rates is a little education on abstinence and the potential hazards for a woman’s health that exist from abortion.
“Abstinence is the first line of defense in preventing abortion. A woman does have the right to choose. But her moment of choice comes before she has made the choice to become sexually active. We need to educate people on that moment of choice,” said Marica Brown, director of the “Worth Waiting 4” program.
Recent studies by the Center for Disease Control agree with the conclusion that abstinence education equals fewer abortions. What the study found is that in states accepting federal funding for abstinence education abortion rates was shockingly lower, by more than 20% over those states choosing to decline federal abstinence funding; which was only lower by 5.2%. Here is what I have surmised from this recent information:
Abstinence education does in fact work; and has much greater success over sex-education programs.
Federal lawmakers are not concerned with women’s health since they continue to push abortion as a viable option despite the overwhelming and alarming body of evidence showing its dangers.
President Obama does not care about reducing abortion rates or women’s health near as much as much as pushing his political backers and allies; such
as Planned Parenthood.
To be quite honest it is simply frustrating, aggravating, and angering when our lawmakers continue to push abortion as a medically safe and viable option and sex-education programs as successful when it is clear that neither is as they say they are. Here we have studies from the CDC that say abstinence education works far better than sex-education, doctors at the Mayo Clinic are reporting that abortion is harmful to a woman’s overall, long-term health and well-being, and all this is simply reiterating what pro-life groups have been saying for years.
So tell me, when do our lawmakers just admit that they are pushing abortion and sex-education simply to appease political backers and allies and not for the health and well-being of children and women? Because, let’s be honest, that is exactly what is going on. No sane person looking objectively at the evidence can conclude that abortion and sex-education programs are the best option. The best explanation for the insanity taking place then is political activism and greed. Shame on you Washington. Shame on you President Obama. Shame on you Planned Parenthood.
