Speechless…Silencing the Christians

with 4 comments

From the American Family Association (AFA):

Two TV stations, WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, MI and WSYX-TV in Columbus, OH, have banned a television special showing how the media is silencing Christians. The stations bowed down to the demands of a handful of homosexual activists and banned the showing of our TV special “Speechless…Silencing the Christians.” The one-hour TV special was scheduled to be shown on the stations, but the stations yanked the program after agreeing to run it. AFA was paying for the time.

You can watch the one-hour banned program here.

You can order a DVD of the one-hour TV special “Speechless…Silencing the Christians” and show it in your church. See for yourself and let your church members see the AFA special that the stations banned!

Or, order all 14 of the original 22-minute episodes of “Speechless…Silencing the Christians” with a discussion guide, and show them in your church.

Oddly enough, the TV special shows how the media censors Christians, which is exactly what these two stations did!

They said the program was “controversial.” The stations do not consider showing two lesbians or two homosexuals kissing or getting into bed with each other controversial. The stations do not consider all the profanity they air controversial. They regularly show network programs advocating the homosexual agenda, but those programs are not considered controversial. However, a special showing of Christians being silenced is controversial!

The manager of the Columbus station told AFA the station would not air the program because telling the truth about homosexuality did not represent “positive Christianity.” Are we moving to a time in the near future when local pastors whose services are broadcast will be banned because their sermons call the practice of homosexuality a sin?

  1. Oh, poor little censured christians.Thought you liked to be persecuted- isnt that your mantra. Maybe the station simply didnt want to run your christian tripe. The U.S. is getting tired of you folks telling us what is sinful and what morals to follow. Hate to tell you but this isnt a theocracy, but a democratic republic which claims no religion. Say what you will and speak your words-it is your right-but quit whining everytime something doesnt go your way.God whiners are the worst and HE HIMSELF would be ashamed of your antics.

  2. “HE HIMSELF” ??? Having trouble with our grammer Brian? A waste of keystrokes: corrections will not salvage your document or your choices.

  4. The word “sin” is religion-specific, and has many meanings, depending on the religion.
However you define it though, it usually means “evil.”

When any action is called “evil,” it means that as far as the argument goes, if you condone that “evil” action then you are an evil person.
Here, “space-bar” Brian has hijacked “sin” for sympathetic purpose. By gaining a new sympathetic meaning for the word, it will implicate anyone who disagrees with him; paint that person as evil.
Hence, because he says that “God whiners” don’t know what morality is, and that God and everyone in the US is tired of hearing it.

Aside from the fact that everyone in the US includes the very same people he accuses of whining, how can a man who doen’t believe in God claim to know Gods thought? Even those of faith hesitate to do that.

As for sin, liberals would never admit it exists. With no God, how can it exist?
They insist on using the word “crime,” instead of sin.
There is a crucial difference between them though; a crime needs to be punished, while a sin only needs to be confessed.
Liberals like to apply the sin meaning to their crime, and crime meaning to our sin…

“A government free of religion, not free from religion.”
