Are You Serious? Porn Industry Seeks Federal Bailout

leave a comment »

When I first saw the above headline, I thought that this article was a joke.  Unfortunately, after looking into it I quickly discovered that it was not.  In fact, HustlerPublisher Larry Flynt and the CEO of Girls Gone Wild, Joe Francis, are seeking $5 billion dollars from the Federal Government in bailing out the adult entertainment industry (Porn Industry Seeks Federal Bailout).

Although a formal request is being submitted and many of you have already read this title, I must admit that this whole ordeal appears to have been contrived to make a laughing stock out of the Federal Government.  From Joe Francis saying that the Federal Government should support the survival and growth of the adult entertainment industry because it is cherished by the American people, to Larry Flynt commenting that Congress should rejuvenate America’s sexual activity by supporting the adult industry, one is really left with no other option than to believe this whole thing is a joke.

In the end, I encourage all of our readers to take this request from the adult industry as it was meant to be taken, a joke.  However, if there is Congressional action made on behalf of the adult industry – which I highly doubt – then that is another story.
